R&D Process Specialist Sr Engineer

Which is the main objective of this role?

The main purpose of this role includes the execution of new product initiatives, brand stewardship and productivity for Mexico y LatAm cookies & crackers and grains business.

Develops and implements processes for new products and technologies to achieve differentiated designs to deliver flawless execution of the AOP initiatives in Biscuits PMF.

Responsibilities

What will you be doing?

Lead the scale up and commissioning stage for new product initiatives according with the Annual Strategic Plan of Biscuits and Grains LatAm for cookies, crackers & cereals technologies.
Lead the scale up and commissioning stage of Productivity and Value Engineering projects in the production line.
Design the process and define the operating parameters and conditions, including production rates, to ensure the reproducibility of the product design and deliver the process and technical documentation for manufacturing and operations.
Provide technical solutions to transform concepts or prototypes into industrialized products to deliver successful annual plans.
Design and execute pilot plant trials to simulate processes and collect necessary data to resolve product/process issues in early stages accelerating the definition of process parameters during the scale up and launching in manufacturing lines.
Support technical assessments with comanufacturers to explore new biscuit processes and technologies to enable incremental capacity for future innovation and core products.
Provide and contribute with technical inputs for selection and purchasing of new equipment related with new and traditional Biscuit Technologies.
Support LatAm C&C and Grains Operations Teams for Brand Maintenance & Equipment Commissioning of new Operation Units and Production Lines Renovation.
Provide technical support for LatAm C&C and Grains Operations Teams for productivity agenda.

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

Education: Bachelor or Engineering focused on Food Sciences / Bio / Chemistry.
Experience: 3+ years in a similar role.
Experience in both process/formulation and manufacturing/operations.
Technical leadership to translate the concepts to feasible products and processes.
Solid knowledge on baking fundamentals and new technologies to enabling solutions for upcoming sustainability challenges
Develop deeper technical solutions with a financial understanding to deliver business profitability (KPI's, Investment and Manufacturing Implications, etc)
Personal Profile: teamwork, analytical thinking, results driven, proactive, decision making, innovative and creative, proactive, flexible and adaptable, math and science thinking affinity
Fluent in Spanish and English.
Travel and Relocation: Willing to travel (+60% of the time)
