SAFETY TAKES PRIORITY IN ALL POSITION ACTIVITIES

MAIN OBJECTIVE.


The Quality Engineer is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of systems to ensure products are designed and produced to meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations.

Primary responsibilities include facilitating and educating employees on root cause analysis tools for long term corrective action improvements, maintenance of the ISO quality management system, new product launch activities, and employee education with regard to processes, tools, and equipment.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Participate in the weekly safety meeting
  • Perform the weekly safety audit in order to detect and reduce the unsafe conditions and acts of the workplace.
  • Comply with the internal regulations, policies and code of conduct of Human Resources.
  • Develop and submit PPAP documents for new product lunches to meet customer requirements including FMEA's, process flow diagrams, control plans, gauge R&R and capability studies
  • Facilitate and promote use of appropriate problem solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action. Assist in communicating Corrective Action reports to internal and external customers.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to the quality system that result in improved quality, increased customer satisfaction, and/or simplification of processes to reduce costs.
  • Develop and conduct methods for testing and evaluation of raw materials during all phases of production.
  • Assist in the development of processes and procedures to ensure that safety, quality, and productivity standards are met.
  • Provide technical support for and continually review processes, equipment and related operations.
  • Perform internal audits to assess compliance to standards and to the internal Quality System, including investigation, presentation of observations and findings, and reporting.
  • Assist in preparing work instructions, procedures and other quality system documents
  • Communicate significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provide process improvements to management
  • Maintain calibration and gauge R & R system for measuring devices.
  • Educate appropriate personnel in the proper use of inspection and testing devices and equipment.

AUTHORITIES:


  • Authority to stop the line when there are exist quality problems in the product
  • Authority to require the compliance with product specifications
  • Authority to require the compliance with corrective actions arising from clients complaints

EXPERIENCE:


  • Quality Tools for problem solving
  • FMEA, Control Plan
  • PPAP
  • Metrology and statistical methods
  • ISO9000 requirements
  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook

ABILITIES:

  • Have a thorough understanding of problemsolving, quality improvement tools, and techniques. This includes knowledge of management and planning tools,
- quality tools, preventive and corrective actions, and how to overcome barriers to quality improvements.

  • Have a basic understanding of the audit process including types of audits,
- planning, preparation, execution, reporting results, follow-up, and the ability to audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.

  • Be able to plan, control, assure product and process quality in accordance with
- quality principles, which include planning processes, material control, acceptance sampling, and measurement systems.

  • Must have good interpersonal, written, verbal and analytical skills
  • English required (80%) be able to maintain a fluent conversation
