    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Cloud Engineer to join our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering mission-critical cloud infrastructure solutions that meet the security, resiliency, scale, and performance requirements of our Oracle Cloud services.

    The successful candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, with expertise in areas such as virtualization, containerization, and orchestration. You will work closely with development teams to define and implement improvements in service architecture, ensuring that our services are designed to meet the needs of our customers.

    In this role, you will be responsible for understanding and communicating the scale, capacity, security, and performance attributes of our services and technology stack. You will also demonstrate a clear understanding of automation and orchestration principles, and act as an escalation point for complex or critical issues.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

    • A deep understanding of cloud computing and its related technologies
    • Experience with virtualization platforms such as KVM and XEN
    • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker
    • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, and C++
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
    • A strong desire to develop deep technical knowledge of our services and technologies

    Benefits

    We offer a competitive salary range of $160,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
