This is your opportunity to join STRATTEC as a Production Planner

Objetive:

Organize production plans to meet the demand of our clients, at the best possible cost, taking care of the interest of the client and the organization.

Main Activities:

Organize production plans to meet the demand of our clients, at the best possible cost, taking care of the interest of the client and the organization.
Create and calculate the production schedule on a weekly basis based on the MPS proposal, considering delays in the schedule of the previous week, changes in customer demand (increases and decreases), as well as the capacity of the production lines.
Based on the calculated production program, the requirements to be produced must be analyzed, in order to determine the short(manufactured) material to expedite and procure to complete the production program.
Negotiate with the planners the supplies of the short materials, in conjunction with the raw material shipper.
Constantly observe the mix of available components to achieve the highest number of turns of inventory possible according to the established goal.
Make decisions about relocation and dispositions of available inventory to avoid excess materials and obsolete costs.
The following activities are carried out in conjunction with the expediter:
Monitoring of engineering changes.
Elaboration on a daily basis of JIT, to assign priorities to production and avoid the loss of shipments to the client.
Capture the weekly forecast (MPS) in the AS400 system, to achieve the finished product bank based on corporates policy.
Participate and promote the generation of ideas that lead the corporation to have an environment of continuous improvement in production, administrative and support processes.

Requirements and Knowledge:

Bachelor's degree or engineering completed
Bilingual Spanish-English
Experience in positions similar to production control
Knowledge in AS400
Knowledge of EDI systems
Teamwork
Communication at every levels
Negotiation
Conflict resolution

The position is developed at Facility 2, located at Julio Hernandez street #7939, Parque Industrial Aztecas, the main activity of the plant being the production and molding of automotive components such as starting systems, key, fob's, start buttons, electronic ignition modules and various mechatronic controller interface solution.
