This position provides Engineering support and executes New Product Development (NPD) and Innovation projects as well as sustaining engineering.

This position is responsible for researching and developing ideas and processes for new product development projects as well as to improve upon the performance and design of existing products.

RESPONSABILITIES:

Ensures NPD and sustaining product projects are on time and within budget while meeting the assigned quality standards and customer expectations.

Performs design and documentation tasks including the creation and updating of engineering drawings, procedures, inspection criteria, and the creation of testing specifications for projects to support NPD.Perform basic stress analysis to determine optimal part designs, to minimize material wastage.

Performs laboratory and field tests to validate new product designs and improvements.
Utilizing internal and external resources, devises and constructs working prototypes for NPD and sustaining projects.

Performs operations in ERP system, such as creation and maintenance of Routers, Bills of Materials, part number, and cost entries.

Work with Operations on any design changes necessary for cost reduction opportunities, process improvements, and material changes, while maintaining consistent product quality and performance.

Working with other departments (Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing & Finance) to efficiently complete project tasks meeting all quality requirements, customer delivery, and cost (capital & product).

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree inengineering.
At least 5 to 10 years in a similar position.
At least 3 to 5 years in a similar position. (Junior position).Proficient in Microsoft Office.
AutoCad.
SolidWorks.
Advanced English.

Availability to travel.
