    The Capacity Planning Team provides AMZL with cost-optimal and flexible capacity solutions for in-station operations, year-round and enabling the business to scale for seasonal peak demand increases.

    The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging data to deliver actionable insights that impact daily business, has a strong delivery record and experienced in driving execution in a cross-functional environment, backed by analysis and data.

    They thrive in a fast-paced environment, relishes working with large transactional volumes and big data and enjoys the challenge of highly complex, and sometimes ambiguous, business context.

    As a Sr Manager in the Capacity Planning Team, you will own the weekly cadence for the generation of in station capacity to make sure the organization is well prepared for the future.

    You will work cross-functionally to ensure that decisions are made and actioned which will allow our operations to run as effectively as possible.

    You will challenge the unknown and drive improvement into key areas of our business.

    A successful candidate knows and loves working with business intelligence tools, is comfortable accessing and working with big data from multiple sources, and enthusiastic about partnering with the business to deliver results.

    You should have an internal drive to challenge the status quo, excellent analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    You would be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Manage a team of supply chain managers and analysts
    • Build strategic plans to fulfill customer demand at the cheapest and in a cost efficient way.
    • Work with operational stakeholders to drive execution to the plans.
    • Highlight misses, direct appropriate closure actions within supply chain.
    • Drive last mile forecasting accuracy working with local in country planning and operational teams.
    • Provide actionable insights into current delivery performance and improvements avenues.
    • Lead the end to end planning for key events like Prime day or other initiatives and peak.
    • Support the expansion of the network, new locations from analysing where we expand to how fast.
    • Work with business teams to define requirements and high-level process/system solutions

    Mexico City, DIF, MEX

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • 5+ years of program or project management experience
    • 5+ years of supply chain experience
    • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
    • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
    • Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
    • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
    • 3+ years of relevant strategic sourcing and category management in indirect categories such as professional services, support or maintenance spend, supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience
    • English C1+ (advance)
    • Bachelors degree
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
    • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
    • MBA in business, data science, public administration, finance, engineering, human resources or related field
    • 2+ years of Tableau or equivalent tools experience
