    Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a liaison between business systems users and IT software application development group for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems and to ensure systems meet required performance levels.
  • Identifies and analyzes business needs; gathers and documents requirements; and defines business systems scope and objectives.
  • Prioritizes and makes recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of business operations.
  • Researches business requirements and documents relationships between the components of the application system (i.e., end-users, business processes, data, applications, and devices).
  • Translates business requirements into application requirements.
  • Designs, maintains and leads training for all users of assigned systems.
  • Tests software, monitors and reports on software performance, and coordinates activities of personnel to troubleshoot and address software bug fixes, extensions, patches, custom development and upgrades.
  • Responsible for day-to-day support of assigned applications.
  • Develops training materials and conducts training for newly hired staff and on system upgrades.
  • Provides training and guidance and assigns tasks to less experienced staff members.
  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree or similar.
  • 6 years of experience directly related to the supported business area with an aptitude for both application systems and operational business process development.
  • Functional understanding of business processes and detailed knowledge of systems applications.
