    Job Description

    Job Title: Telemarketing Specialist

    Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Telemarketing Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct outreach to our existing database of mentors and to identify and engage with potential new mentors. The Telemarketing Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining and nurturing relationships with current mentors while also expanding our network by reaching out to new prospects. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and have a proactive approach to outreach.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach to existing mentors via email and phone to maintain and strengthen relationships.
  • Perform online research to identify potential new mentors, particularly at schools, and add them to our database.
  • Initiate contact with new prospects through email and phone calls, introducing our organization and its mission.
  • Gather feedback from mentors, address any concerns or questions they may have, and ensure they feel valued and heard.
  • Encourage mentors to nominate students into our program by highlighting its benefits and impact.
  • Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport over the phone.
  • Experience in telemarketing or customer service roles is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in using email and phone communication tools.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree is a plus.
  • Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and strategies
  • Relevant work experience in sales, marketing, promotions or telemarketing
  • Product knowledge
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Knowledge of call center telephony and technology
  • Six months or more experience in a call center environment
  • Customer service experience
  • Good data entry/keyboard skills
  • Knowledge of administration and clerical processes
  • Familiar with office rules/office environment
  • Advanced English
