Eaton's VEH NAA North America Auto division is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor.


What you'll do:


PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Coordination of technical maintenance staff in order to maintain the availability of equipment, through predictive and preventive tasks.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • 1) Coordination of the execution of the preventive maintenance plan scheduled, monthly, weekly, daily.
2) Realization, updating of critical spare parts list for critical equipment.
3) Performing failure analysis, based on failure history, countermeasures must be based on updating preventive tasks, updating spare parts stock, training.
4) Involvement, support in new machinery upgrade projects.
5) Audit the autonomous maintenance to the production area, providing feedback to the areas of opportunity and follow-up to the findings found by operators.
6) Drives and promotes zero incident EHS culture. Incorporate Safety into 5s activities.
7) Drive efforts for continuous improvement and cost saving, mainly through Corrective maintenance reduction and oil management.
8) Support the training in order to develop technicians or operators as required.
9)

Support and/or participate on Continuous Improvement Activities such as:

Kaizen, Ideas Programs, cost out and/or demonstrate improvements in goals year over year in our processes or practices aligned to achieve or business goals and/objectives.

10) Weekly main impacts follow up
11) Problem Solving for weekly high impacts.
12) Spare parts weekly systemic follow up, spare parts registration process.
13) Control the roles and responsibilities of your people in charge (incidents, vacations, permits, etc.).


Qualifications:


SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Manufacturing Engineering required
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering environment, ideally in the Automotive industry
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques and manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and training in automation, error proofing techniques
  • Experience conducting multidisciplinary teams.
  • Background or experience in quality basics such as statistical process control, capability studies and MSA studies.
  • Skills at interpreting mechanical drawings and basic use of CAD systems.
  • Knowledge of machinery functions (hydraulic, electrical, mechanical operations)
  • English language at a conversational level required.
  • Green Belt (Six Sigma) would be a plus
  • ORACLE knowledge focused in Manufacturing Processes.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Ability to train technicians to use proper methods, write work instructions, define setup techniques, maintain equipment PM ́s and track OEE
  • Ensure Eaton targets are met with respect to standard philosophies and work practices.
