Job Title:
Network Engineer


Department:

Job Summary:


Summary of Duties:


  • Design and implement network infrastructure to support business needs
  • Maintain network security through firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures
  • Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolutions
  • Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams
  • Stay uptodate with emerging networking technologies and trends
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver business outcomes
  • Manage network performance and capacity planning
  • Work with vendors to resolve hardware and software issues
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures

Qualifications:


Education:


  • Bachelor's (BA or BS.) degree or an equivalent degree from a college or technical school in a related area; or 6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering
  • Indepth knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and HTTP
  • Experience with VPNs, WAN technologies, and wireless networks
  • Knowledge of network security best practices and firewalls
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to troubleshoot network issues
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, dynamic environment

Other Skills:


  • Effective oral and written communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and assignments with attention to detail
  • Problem solving, well organized, detailed oriented and accurate.
  • Ability to work ITIL compliant methodologies and processes.

Preferred Skills (Not Required):


  • Cisco certification (CCNP, CCIE) is a plus
