About Methode Electronics Inc.

Description:

Methode Electronics is looking for a highly technical, hands-on, and motivated MCAD Engineer responsible for design and implement the concepts/designs/developments by using CAD computerized drawing/design tools.

This position supports projects from advanced engineering conceptualization to actual mass production projects to the creation of CAD models in our Monterrey area plants with the following responsibilities and qualifications:

Position Responsibilities:
Design and implement the mechanical parts of the products using CAD and CAE tools.

Model and create 3D models, create 2D engineering drawings, dimension using GD&T.

Create engineering drawings for final products, subassemblies, and components.

Participate in design review meetings with other departments.

Ensure that the best practices and lessons learned from the company are present in the designs.

Provide maintenance to engineering models and plans when necessary due to engineering changes.

Create and maintain the Bill of Materials (BOM) for your first review and subsequent engineering changes.

Ensure compliance with ISO IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 14001:2015 guidelines

Create and develop support fixtures for fabrication, rework, holding parts for assemblies, and other functions.

Required Qualifications:

Wide and demonstrable technical knowledge as MCAD Engineer or Mechanical Designer
At least 5 years of experience.
CAD modeling in CATIA R5, Unigraphics NX8, SolidWorks
Experience in the automotive industry of ECU/TCU modules
Launch of new products.
Plastic injection processes and assemblies (basic level).
Experience creating engineering drawings.
Good command of English, CET4 or above (can communicate in English), Technical English is a must.
