SUMMARY

The Supervisor is responsible for maintaining Yard management System inventories accurately and current, as well as trailer pool management for local and internal operations.

Following up with Carrier issues and implementing department metrics and corrective actions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage YMS trailer inventory and system accuracy.
Manage traffic guard shack operators and measure for accuracy of data input.
Ensure C-TPAT/FAST/BASC requirements are followed; as well as Mexican and US Customs
Provide and schedule timely RM pick up for local (Mexican) suppliers. (ie
Monterrey)
Work closely with Planers and Materials to provide needed support.
Plan and schedule RM and M&E pickups from El Paso warehouse and/or were required.
Work closely with Menlo/Warehouse personnel to make sure all North bound trailer pulls are available and shipped on time.
Responsible in making sure detention charges are not incurred for trailer pool.
Responsible to maintain proper rental trailer pool and in workable conditions.
Make sure all trailers in and out of the facility are in proper condition and maintain records and charts of incidents.
Review and maintain incident charts for local carrier issues, as well as follow ups and CAR for each incident.
Supervision of Traffic clerks and follow up on their activities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Fluent bilingual (English-Spanish)
Bachelor degree in International Commerce, Customs or equivalent.
2+ Year of experience in YMS or similar inventory systems related to the area, CTPAT/FAST/BASC knowledge, Logistics & Traffic
Skilled in C-TPAT/FAST/BASC requirements for Carriers.
Basic knowledge for Mexico/US Customs border crossing process.
Selfmotivated and able to follow up on task and projects.
Able to operate with Microsoft Word and Excel at a high level.
