    The role of the Commodity Desk is to assist the different IDP Commodity buyers with people specialized in segment of activity supporting them on negotiation preparation and strategy analysis for further deployment by PSP Clerk in the system. He/She is also supporting requesters to better understand the strategy deployed, responsible of the contract during the serial life and communicate with the suppliers to unblock some points. They will be the first point of contact of PSP.

    The right candidate will need to become familiar with all aspects of purchasing at Faurecia and develop a good working knowledge of Faurecia core procedures (FCPs), tools and IDP processes.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Support IDP commodity:

  • Supporting general purchasing commercial activities
  • Support buyers in their dealings with business group (BG) key stakeholders (Operations, Finance,
  • Group...)
  • Support commodities on advanced analysis to efficiently deploy their strategies (buying channel)
  • Support on preparation of future negotiation
  • Proactively propose new opportunities for savings and negotiation
  • Contract management:

  • Manage serial contracts (payment terms, invoicing and renewal of existing contracts)
  • Support buyers for strategic RFQ
  • Deployment of strategic RFQ and follow up of contracts deployment
  • Operational Support:

  • Support requesters to deploy their contracts with alignment to commodity strategy
  • Contact suppliers to discuss/resolve operational topics (invoice conflicts, payment terms clarifications, credit note collection etc....)
  • General:

  • Participation in working groups with the goal of problem solving and/or ensure process improvements
  • Ensure the 5S rules at your workstation
  • Be compliant with Group procedures and policies
  • Perform the function with discipline and accept the responsibilities in accordance with the Policies of Quality and Environment and Security, making everything to assure the conformity of the Services supplied to our customers and to avoid the occurrence of casualties that may affect Faurecia and the thirds partiers.
  • To fulfil and to make fulfil the rules of security and the politics and procedures of HSE
  • Respect and ensure in a daily approach the correct and fully implementation of the Faurecia Code of Ethics (Respect for fundamental Human Rights, Development of economic and social dialogue, Development of skills, Ethics and rules of business conduct, if necessary, reporting infringements to the Code of Ethics).
  • Respect and ensure in a daily approach the correct and fully implementation of the Faurecia Code of Management (Business Planning, Business Execution, Performance Management & People Development, Business Ethics)
  • Perform other tasks that are similar or functionally connected and for which he/she has the required qualifications and competencies to help achieve the goals of the team/organization.
  • Key requirements:

    Minimum education level: Bachelor's degree in Business or Purchasing

    Experience / Technical and behavioural skills:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Purchasing related environment
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Agility using office tools mainly Excel and Powerpoint
  • Good Organizational Skills
  • International minded
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Minimum knowledge of contractual and legal aspects
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn
  • Availability to travel
  • Nice to have:

  • Automotive Industry experience
