SUMMARY


To provide engineering support for design, testing, production-pilot, transfer, installation, validation, start up, stabilization and documentation of new products and equipment integration into manufacturing.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • May travel internationally to execute engineering builds, provide feedback for line and equipment design, execute pilots at Cincinnati or supplier sites
  • Write and executes validation protocols and/or engineering tests/studies
  • Assist NPI Engineer to update and/or create manufacturing documents as Control Plans, TR's, Process Specifications, Drawings, Layouts, Forms and Procedures
  • Assist NPI Engineer to complete trainings regarding new product and processes.
  • Coordinate with Custom Department components and equipment importation
  • Coordinate material and finish goods movement between all different locations across the Jabil companies
  • Prepare all necessary documentation to introduce new equipment into the production floor
  • Provide support for equipment troubleshooting
  • Analyze root cause of problems/defects found at production lines
  • Assist NPI Engineer to prepare reports and presentations
  • Transfer equipment and product knowledge from design site to manufacturing site
  • Assist NPI Engineer in general engineering tasks
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Technical degree/high school or equivalent completed (mechanics, electronics, manufacturing, biomedical, mechatronics)
  • 46 years of experience or equivalent knowledge and skills to perform the position responsibilities

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS.

  • English/Spanish (65%)
  • Availability for international travel
  • Knowledge in statistical analysis (preferred)
  • Knowledge in equipment troubleshooting (preferred)
  • Knowledge in lean manufacturing tools (preferred)
  • Knowledge in Medical Industry Validations (preferred)
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Knowledge in Autocad (preferred)
  • Knowledge in Minitab (preferred)
