We are to hire a Quality Project Engineer at our Location in El Salto

Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for meeting quality performance deliverables and attaining customer and quality related targets for new projects.
  • Statistical analysis, presentations, and data analysis are all essential for collecting monitoring, evaluating and communicating data for new products in new product introduction process.
  • Perform capability studies for new products and processes.
  • Identify customer requirements for new and modified products.
  • Guide problem solving process for all significant internal issues.
  • Assess risk of customer issues at key junctures in product development.
  • Report and Assess Reliability testing results for new products. Complete Quality Plan for all new products.
  • Communicate development status of new products on quality milestones to guidance.
  • Lead APQP efforts for product transfers with cross functional teams utilizing quality tools for this type of Advanced Product Quality Planning effort
  • Lead and contribute to the following quality systems and/or activities: Manufacturing Sample Lot Quantities, PPAP's, Control Plans, P-FMEA, capability studies, SPC, Gage R&R, problem solving and preventive quality actions at the receiving manufacturing facilities
  • Utilize tools such as root cause analysis through 8D problem solving, design of experiment and pokayoke in support of the receiving facility to ensure quality level remains unchanged or improved
  • Participate in validation test plans for quantity, test length and test type for each product family with product engineering
  • Track and report product quality performance showing impact by product family or SKU
  • Communicate and implement quality initiatives at manufacturing facilities

Requirements:


  • Previously held role as a Quality Engineer or Project Quality Engineer.
  • Must have customer experice launching products with Ford, GM, Nissan, Toyota, Tesla, Stallantis within others.
  • Working knowledge of Product Delivery Process and tools.
  • Problem Solving (8 ́D methodology).

  • APQP Methodology
  • PPAP Methodology
  • GD&T reading.
  • Core tools
  • Fixtures / Gauges design and manufacture.
  • Moderatetoadvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; willing to learn company & customer systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; English proficiency
  • Five (5) years of work experience in the automotive or similar industry.
  • Three (3) years of work experience in one or more of the following areas: Quality, Program Management, Engineering, Operations.
  • Previous experience in assembly operations and/or painting, is desirable
  • Project leadership experience in a matrix organization is a plus.
