About the Job

The Construction Project Managers is responsible for ensuring the timely and costly completion of construction projects by overseeing all phases of the project.

This entails working with a variety of stakeholders to schedule and plan work, coordinate equipment and materials, operate within budget, and monitor overall progress.

Location:
San Jeronimo (Juarez), Chihuahua, Mexico

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed
Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in building construction, construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or related filed required; Master's degree preferred.
5+ years' experience in project management within the construction industry

(preferably in Mexico)

Preferred Skills and Abilities

Proven experience as construction project manager
Comfortable reading and understading blueprints and drawings
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software
Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles
Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
Strong leadership and management skills
Fluent in Spanish and English languages
