TITLE:
Network Engineer I


LOCATION:
REMOTE (Must be located in Mexico)


SALARY: 20,000 MXP per month - 26,000 MXP per month depending on experience

  • Experience with Cisco Routers/Switches/Wireless
  • Experience with Fortigate Routers/Switches/Wireless
  • Experience configuring/maintaining VPN Solutions
  • Experience with RMM tools (Auvik/N-Able preferred)


  • Experience with AZURE/MS36

  • Nice to have: Experience with Ubiquiti equipment

Job Summary

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position.

Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily and successfully to be qualified for the position.

Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Leading and participating in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, communication links, and routing protocols
  • Planning, assisting in designing, and developing local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), and network security (firewalls, IDS, NAC)
  • Monitoring, analyzing and resolving network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Connect, operate, and monitor network systems
  • Close cooperation with the data center, operations and technical teams
  • Create and maintain network documentation of logical network level, physical network design, VLANs, Firewalls, Routing-Protocol
  • Work with the existing team to improve telecommunications and network options for remote communications
  • Create and optimize internal network and infrastructure processes
  • Analyze, diagnose and troubleshoot issues in network environment
  • Responds and assists Level I Engineer with complex connectivity problems.
  • Communicates effectively with management, team leader, and team members.
  • Develops and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction and improved customer relations.
  • May oversee or assist Level I Engineer in installation of communications hardware; may oversee minor equipment repairs.
  • Other Duties as assigned

Education Qualifications

Minimum Required Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Five years of experience in networking field

Preferred Education and/or Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT preferred

Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements

CCNA

Preferred Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements:
Prefer ASTEA familiarity; A+ and OEM equipment certifications preferred, Fortinet, and Meraki certs advisable.

Travel Requirements

  • Ability to travel 25% of the time.
  • Must be able to work outside of normal work hours occasionally.

Work is performed in standard office/remote setting or on customer site.
