Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Monitor economic and market developments, design and coordinate data platforms to support models, provide government forums with relevant information for decision making and make strategy proposals.
• Design and execute funding strategies, manage/maintain an adequate liquidity buffer, comply with regulations and internal policies optimizing its cost and capital consumption.
• Manage relationships with counterparties, coordinating opening accounts to operate, and comply with KYC policies.
• Coordinate issuances of debt or capital instruments in local or international markets.
• Develop new investment and funding sources, such as structured products and syndicated loans.
• Structure, negotiate and price ALM strategies.
• Optimize risk-return in cash and securities balance sheet utilization within a prudential framework and risk appetite.
• Maintain policies, procedures, controls, and participate in contingency plan development and fire drills.
• Create reports and models to monitor indicators impacting Treasury/ALM, including FTP.
• Ensure execution of the ALM framework defined by the ALCO Committee and report inconsistencies.

Core Competencies

Experience working in treasury and markets desk of a bank, knowledge of integrated balance sheet management.

• Understands Liquidity Metrics and regulatory capital requirements rules.
• Guarantees correct risk monitoring and measurement framework, including market, liquidity, credit, regulatory and operational risks.

AMIB certificate as operator and FI expert, desirable or willing to become certified. Manages high volume and complex data, building reliable analysis and financial insights, understanding financial implications of business decisions. Strong questioning style and inquisitive.

Job Skills and Knowledge

Essential:

• +5 years experience in Mexico treasury and local capital markets.
• Understanding of traded cash and derivatives instruments.
• Ability to manipulate data in Excel, Sheets, VBA, to run and analyze financial models or construct reports and KPI's.
• Clear, didactic and concise oral and written ability regarding financial concepts, reports and systems with multiple audiences.
• Identify strengths and weaknesses of the business and external opportunities and threats.
• Diligent, proactive nature, resilient in responding to stressful situations.
• Finance, Engineer, Science or Economics Degree.
• Fluent English.

Desirable:

• Advanced knowledge in Python and SQL, Looker, Data Bricks, Anaplan.
• Experience operating in a matrix organization with functional reporting lines.

Interviewing and onboarding are currently done virtually due to COVID-19. Employees will remain working from home until it is safe to return to our offices. When possible, we will require a fixed cadence of visiting the office in which employees go to their Business Unit's base location.
