SENIOR PROJECT LEADER
Janssen Mexico is recruiting for a Senior Project Leader, located in Mexico City

The Senior Project Leader will be the custodian of organization-wide project management standards, templates, tools and processes.

The position will provide oversight, high-level coordination and management to Janssen Mexico portfolio, being a strategic partner across the organization and supporting the Project Leader for Mexico's project portfolio.

It contemplates the monthly day-to-day execution, focus on interaction with Project Leaders and key business partners, construction and review of the Portfolio in alignment with Business Strategy.

The function must ensure flawless execution of the Portfolio, managing meetings, tracking projects, providing education to Project Managers, process adoption and in compliance of Standard Procedures.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Establish effective Portfolio tracking / reporting processes suitable for reporting at various management levels
  • Facilitate focused meetings towards actionable outcomes and resolutions
  • Establish help chain process, act as focal point to promote agility in escalations needed, risk anticipation, based on a proactive approach
  • Responsible for planning, support, processes, risk management, metrics, standards, the interdependency of the projects, etc. They ensure that all the deadlines are achieved on time with all the artifacts and processes are being followed.
  • Collaborating with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects.
  • Planning project management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables.
  • Overseeing the development of the project and ensuring that team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently while upholding the company's standards.
  • Drafting new and improving existing project management office policies and processes.
  • Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.
  • Accurately documenting the project's creation, development, and execution as well as documenting the project's scope, budget, and justification.
  • Be highly collaborative/influential and able to build positive relationships

Education:


  • Bachelor degree in industrial engineering, business admin, or similar

Experience and Skills:


Required:


  • Project Management Training and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred
- +4 years of relevant working experience, including experience overall, Project Management with some regional and cross-sector exposure

  • Financial budgeting skills and competency is required
  • Enthusiastic teammate with a strong commitment to build a positive work environment
  • This role needs someone with a "cando" attitude who thrives in an agile and fast pase set up.
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills
  • Being able to effectively prioritize, execute tasks and work proactively to ensure project milestones are met
  • English advanced and Business proficiency in Spanish required

Preferred:


  • Preferred to hold Project management certification (FPX, PMI, Agile, SCRUM)
  • Strong computer skills (Power point, visio, excel, project)
  • Knowledge of project management tools (Instantis, FPx, MS Project, Power BI)

Other:


  • Prior project management and events execution experience
