    Indirect Sourcing Buyer Role

    This position will collaborate with various professionals at Mexico sites, including Manufacturing, Facilities, IS, Human Resources, MKT, Trade MKT, logistics, and Legal to place purchase orders and follow up on delivery for indirect materials.

    The Indirect Buyer will support quotes below $15K USD to maintenance teams in Mexico plants based on preferred vendors assigned by Procurement.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Managing low spend quotes, emergency protocols, purchase orders placement, and resolved purchase order discrepancies.
    • Supporting business needs leading low spend quotes according to sourcing provided by the Procurement team.
    • Resolving and following up on emergency protocols with users and vendors.
    • Creating purchase orders based on requisitions submitted through Guided Buying.
    • Investigating and resolving purchase order issues in ECC.
    • Solving blocked invoice discrepancies to finalize purchase order closure.
    • Coordinating the entire purchase cycle, including requirements analysis, delivery scheduling, accounts payable, and relationships with suppliers.

    The Indirect Buyer will also be responsible for ensuring all purchases are conducted in compliance with Hershey Global Procurement Policy with proper documentation and processes that meet company system requirements.

    Key skills and knowledge required include:

    Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field is required. Minimum 1+ years of progressive business experience with 1+ years in procurement experience; experience in sourcing for the food industry is preferred.
