Position Objective

The Plant Environment, Health and Safety (SHE) - Safety Coordinator position is responsible to implement and administer standardized SHE processes to ensure compliance to Federal, State, Provincial and Local regulations and Corporate Policies and Procedures.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Implement SHE training programs and training assessments to ensure required training is identified and conducted.
Conduct regular audits of SHE processes and necessary follow up to ensure compliance and advise plant leadership and corporate SHE staff of findings.
Analyze injury/illness experience including ergonomics, identify/track injury correlation, determine root causes, implement corrective action and communicate this information to plant leadership and corporate SHE.
Support new equipment programs at the concept stage to ensure that SHE design specifications and regulations are included.
Manage routine safety reports including data acquisition, documentation, record keeping, monitoring, review, and approval.
Coordinate communication of SHE regulatory inspection activity with plant leadership.
Lead SHE projects to improve SHE key performance metrics.
Support the implementation and maintenance of the plant's safety management system, FWS, PAR and WCM Safety Pillar requirements.

WHAT YOU ́LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering, Science or related field
Strong understanding of Federal, State, Provincial and Local Environmental regulations and requirements
Willingness to work on any shift and additional hours as required
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership, analytical and problem solving skills
Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite and/or other software
Enjoy working in a virtual and multicultural working environment
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders (people skills)
Show passion and practical creativity for innovations and changes
Ability to take initiative
Digital aware and capable
