At Bosch you will take responsibility for products enclosures development support, quality improvement and cost reduction. You will work designing 3D & 2D; BOM release on respective PLM system.

Assist for test plan and test report creation and assist for manufacture and supplier communication of technical topic and design implementation in production line.


Design Engineer Jr to provide support for Consumer goods products development activities meeting manufacturing, safety, quality, cost, marketing objectives compliance as per customer requirement.

Prepare 3D models using top-down design for 3D CAD files and 2D drawings preparation for both manufacturing and customer, BOMs and technical data release for product documentation along product lifecycle following Bosch product engineering guideline.

Support engineering changes, cost reduction projects and competitive analysis tasks upon customer request.

  • 3D CAD model and 2D Drawing creation for design and development, with Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly knowledge is preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience in cooking products is added advantage
  • Knowledge on Plastics design is added advantage
  • Working with Electronics team based on the boundary conditions for product design
  • ECRs (Engineering Changes Requirement) management with customer and value stream.
  • GD&T knowledge (ASME professional certifications nice to have).
  • 2D and 3D Stackup preparation.
  • Knowledge of CAE Simulation tools is nice to have.
  • Create and manage risk assessment.
  • Support the leaders in Analytic problemsolving skills, including knowledge of 8D, Six Sigma, DOE or similar disciplines.
  • Support the team with Materials recommendations and component technologies for design optimization.
  • Support the team with specific testing parameters; manage execution and documents compilation for applicable results to validate customer requirements.
  • Work in coordination with Product Management, Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Suppliers and mechanical core team to transform customer requirements into product realization.

Qualifications

  • Educational Requirements:
Four-Year College Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related technology, Required


Years of Experience:
Product development experience of 6 to 18 months, Required

Specific Knowledge

  • System level understanding of Consumer goods.
  • Evaluation and approvals of deviation list from suppliers.
  • Working experience designing for Manufacturing sheet metal components
  • Design for Additive manufacturing working experience.
