Description:
The Manufacturing Engineer reports directly to the Manufacturing Team Leader and in dotted line to the Engineering Manager.

Is responsible for all detailed processes related to manufacturing, layout, production routes, programs, and No Conformities (N/C); reviews of new releases for design and manufacturing; helps with recommendations for new equipment and tools; provides workshop support to help improve coordination and collaboration between departments and teams.


Responsibilities:

Coordinates the development of timely and accurate N/C programs to support production efficiency. Manages various projects in Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and Quality. Directs, supervises, and advises individuals and teams on projects and processes. Uses principles and methodologies Lean/Six Sigma to make process improvements. Participates in safety meetings; investigates root cause and corrective actions for safety incidents. Incorporates ergonomics into safety, productivity, and operators' performance. Writes standard work and staffing procedures. Determines the appropriate manufacturing processes for the components and products. Reviews and selects the special tools and equipment required for production and operations improvements. Plans, schedules, and prioritizes to meet deadlines and key objectives. Determines and improves processes to meet production rates and objectives. Collaborates with production and other teams by attending scheduled meetings to ensure timely process improvements. Helps with recommendations for new equipment and tools.

Has the authority to report and/or stop any activity that is identified that may put at risk the integrity of any person who is inside the plant, as a collaborator, contractor, or service provider, and/or facilities.


In relation to quality, the employee has the authority to stop any process and/or work activity that identifies may put at risk the quality of our products and/or the requirements of the client.


Has the decision-making authority in accordance with the procedures, corporate policies, and legal requirements for the success of the business.


Basic qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanics, Mechatronics, Electromechanics, Electrical, etc.) or related. >4 years of verifiable experience in the industry (metalworking preferably). Previous experience in manufacturing processes (Manufacturing, Welding, Painting, Assembly, or Machining). Experience in leading and/or implementing projects. Excellent organizational and communication skills (oral and written). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (5W and/or 8D). Business and advanced technical English level (minimum 85%). Verifiable knowledge in Lean, Six Sigma and/or Project Management (desirable).
