- Performs Inventory accounting and valuation, including assisting in development and maintenance of cost accounting systems.
- Prepares Balance Sheets, Profit and Loss Statements, and other Financial Reports. Makes adjustments to reporting to meet local, business unit and global management requirements.
- Analyzes Revenue, COGS, Gross Margin, and Inventory to ensure accuracy of financial statements. Reviews Product Line Profitability with Business Partners and Management to ensure informed decision making.
- Provides specialized analysis and support for New Product Pricing, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, General Accounting, etc.
- Generates customer billings and follows up on outstanding balances as necessary.
- Devises and implements process improvements to Inventory Accounting and Financial Reporting and other finance operations as needed.
- Assists with Budgeting and Forecasting as needed.
- Assists with ERP system upgrades/implementations.
- May provide training and general direction to Staff Accountants.
- Other finance duties as assigned by management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5-7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience with applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Solid inventory management experience - including Standard Cost setting, Cost Tracking, Consigned Inventory Management, and Inventory Balance validation.
