    Job Overview

    TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of materials through the production cycle. They determine quantities and order dates for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions in compliance with supply agreements, and develop schedules based on forecasts and historical data.

    The team develops specifications for new contracts and forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They also provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may participate in higher-level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team.

    Additionally, they monitor cost, schedule, and scope of subcontracts to ensure quality and value.

    What your background should look like:

    Activities:

    • Performs analysis of customer demand, sales forecasts, and historical material usage to develop and execute build-to-order and build-to-forecast plans.
    • Coordinates with cross-functional teams to develop the best economic production strategy supporting customer demand.
    • Works with quality, engineering, and operations to ensure 100% on-time delivery by establishing and monitoring schedules to proactively address issues.
    • Develops, implements, and manages an integrated planning process that considers make versus buy decisions, capacity, scheduling, inventory, and costs.
    • Determines strategies to comply with demand STS.

    Requirements:

    • At least 5 years of experience in similar roles.
    • Advanced English proficiency.
    • Comprehensive supply chain planning experience (capacity planning, supply planning, master production scheduling, inventory control).
    • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
    • Proficiency with MS Office programs.
    • Strong analytical, detail-oriented, financial, and strategic thinking skills.
    • Culturally sensitive with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
    • Experience in managing and measuring work, setting objectives, and providing feedback.
    • Ability to build effective teams, foster morale, and promote open communication.
    • APICS CPIM and SIOP certifications are a plus.
    • Leveraging lean manufacturing techniques (scheduling, pull, flow) is highly valued.
