Engineering Manager for our Vallejo Facilities

Which is the main objective of this role?


This leader will guarantee the operation under the indicators of Cost, Performance, and Service, with responsibilities of the budget spent on the operation, the flexibility and productivity projects, the measurement of the key business indicators, and the fulfillment of the objectives, as well as the correct Control of MP and ME warehouses at the Plant.

Ensure compliance with the Quality and Safety Policy, ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices within their area, maintain effective communication with the direct team and achieve synergy with other areas of the company


What will you be doing?

The Main purpose

  • Ensures the administration, control, and monitoring of the annual productivity plans, to achieve profitability, efficiency, improvement of indicators and flexibility of the Plant.
  • Ensures the generation of analysis, productivity improvements and verification of Plant indicators, including the generation of savings by controlling the Site's AOP, as well as monitoring True Efficiency.
  • Ensure the correct administration and control of inventories, flow of materials, supply planning, development of the people of warehouses of PM (Raw Materials), ME (Packaging Materials), Production and Warehouses of Spare Parts.
  • Ensure the operational improvement of the Plant, leading the processes of operational planning, preparation of production forecasts, reengineering, generation of strategies, improvement projects and monitoring of action plans to ensure compliance and impact on business indicators.
  • Guarantee the correct monitoring of controls within the MP, ME and Spare Parts warehouses, production processes and service payments to comply with international regulations (SOX) and reduce the risk of theft, misuse of resources and deviations from policies established.
  • Guarantee the correct administration and control of the variable payment, Standard Production Crews and methodologies, through the correct administration and control of the MOD and MOH to have a more profitable manufacturing.
  • Implementation of Lean Sigma methodology in the Plant processes.
  • Develops together with T&C and Plant Management the Business Review strategy.
  • Development and implementation of savings plans coordinating the actions of all areas.
  • Development and implementation of the optimization strategy in the use of packaging materials and raw materials in the operation (Performance).
  • Development and implementation of MOH budget optimization strategy (includes depreciation).
  • Develops the workforce optimization and efficiency increase (TEF) strategy.
  • Participation in Integrating teams and in MOTOR+.
  • Collaborates in the evaluation of compliance with legal requirements and other requirements.
  • Active collaboration to implement, develop and maintain the GEHSMs.
  • Propose and implement action plans aimed at guaranteeing the Safety and Quality of products and supplies according to the MIP and FSSC 22000.
  • Ensure the implementation of corrective actions derived from findings of internal and external audits of the Quality and Safety Management System (MIP, FSSC22000) of the plant, through budget management.
  • Ensure compliance with the Good Manufacturing Practices of the staff through the supervision and execution of a Behavior Observation System (SOC).
  • Communicate any relevant event, incident or change that impacts the FSMS to the relevant interested parties

Qualifications:

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering / Mechanical Engineering, Administrator, Finance, Chemical Administrator, or similar Field.
  • 5+ years in Engineering in manufacturing environments in production, warehouses, productivity and/or similar positions
  • 3+ years of experience developing/leading teams from a strategic standpoint.
  • 1+ years of Production Experience
  • 1+ years of Experience as a Warehouse Coordinator
  • 1+ 2 years of Experience in Productivity Projects
  • Knowledge of improvement tools
  • Knowl
