What your background should look like:
Day-to-day responsibilities and scope of role

Be the engineering consultant on a range of development, design and sustaining Engineering projects, internally and externally
Translate customer requirements into technical diagrams and provide quote/proposals to customer request
Knowledge of cable and cable assembly product design for customization
Knowledge of industrial low-Med voltage cables, data cables and category cable, etc.
Knowledge of Industrial connectors of TE and its competition
Support he Wire and Cable New Product Development and Sustaining Teams to ensure product conforms to customer requirements
Work closely with suppliers and Product Development engineers for connector and bulk cable
Work closely with product management, sales and Product Information Center (PIC) teams on cable and cable assembly inquiries
Work with Operations and Supply Chain to bring new cable assembly product to market
Support product training as required
Technical report writing
Support to quality department regarding customer complaints
Request deviations to customer for products acceptance
Knowledge ECR/ECN process
Coordinate engineering changes from customer request with multidisciplinary team

Knowledge of basic quality trouble shooting techniques
Knowledge of LEAN principles
Experienced in using Microsoft Office Tools.
Use of 3D (Creo) CAD software preferred
Knowledge of IPC
Basic understanding of SAP software

Preferred certifications, education, and years of experience

Minimum 3 years post university experience
Fluent in spoken and written English

Education Background:
Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering
Cable Assembly Experience a plus
TE systems experience
Experience with manufacturing processes a plus
