Responsibilities:

What will you be doing?
You will report to the IT Director of Transportation and will lead the data and analytics team. You are directly involved with the IT agenda of moving and making products. There is an additional responsibility to manage the IT / Business relationship with 3PL HQ Leadership. The 3PL agenda is concentrated on the development of dashboards and analytics and is closely related to overall analytics.

This is a new team with the vision of bringing D&A to the broader team.

The role requires someone that can:

Lead a small team of Developers (Team will require new hiring)
Provide direction to the Jr. team members.
Partner with Transportation and 3PL teams to migrate existing Data sources to the PFNA Data fabric (Data Lake)
Transition teams off of Tableau / Excel to Power BI
Conduct Ad Hoc Data Analytics

o Identify the differences in data between multiple systems.

Observe our business practices with analytics in mind, how do we improve our systems.

o Consolidate reports to eliminate unneeded system cross-referencing.

You must look at the world with a data/analytics curiosity.
Be able to present data findings in a simplified manner.

The role requires someone with hands-on experience working and leading data teams.

You must be able to work directly with data. You will be creating solutions to problems and executing project plans.
You will need to understand and write SQL.
You will need to be familiar with interfacing with databases.
Experience developing in Power BI, Tableau and Excel will be a strong plus.
There will be a portion of the role that will be gathering requirements from the business and translating that into action by the team.
