ENGINEERING HEAD

DISCIPLINE DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES

Advise the production department regarding manufacturing processes for solving process problems.
Develop new processes and optimize current ones to improve productivity in quantity, quality and cost.
Supervise the development of tool and equipment designs for new products in order to meet the requirements at the lowest cost and time.
Supervise the feasibility studies and the implementation of new products to meet the objective of market expansion with the quality, cost and time required.
Design, Control of Experiments, Root Cause Analysis and Statistical Control of processes
Control engineering budgets.
Monitor the supply of services and energy to maintain a consistent and reliable operation of the different productive areas and represent CORNING Mexicana, S.A. de C.V in relations with public service companies.
Ensure through training and direct supervision the engineering activities in general within the plant.
Coordinate the installation or uninstallation of machinery and plant equipment in general as well as supervising the correct installation or removal of supplies for them.
Monitoring and control of metrics, OEE, TAU, Downtime, Fist Past Yield & Poka Yoke

Competences

Education

Electrical Mechanical Engineer or Administrator Mechanical Engineer (desirable)

Experience

Minimum 5 years, in personnel management, electromechanical knowledge, pneumatic equipment, project management, knowledge of automated equipment
