Summary


The investor relations manager position is accountable for creating and presenting a consistently applied investment message to the investment community on behalf of a Company, and for monitoring and presenting to management the opinions of the investment community regarding the company's performance.


This position is responsible for developing and maintaining a cohesive and coordinated communication program with the investment community and shareholders, which shall provide for communications consistent with applicable securities laws and Company strategies and goals.


Core responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains a company investor relations plan
  • Serves as the key point of contact for the investment community
  • Provides appropriate information to the investment community regarding Company operating results, business strategies, and other publicly communicated corporate news releases
  • Performs a comprehensive competitive analysis, including financial metrics and differentiation
  • Reviews external research reports issued by brokerage firms regarding their perception of the Company, the industry, and competitors, and provides summary and analysis to senior management.
  • Provides feedback to management regarding the investment community's perception of how the company is being managed, and their view of its financial results
  • Establishes the optimum type and mix of shareholders, and creates that mix through a variety of targeting initiatives
  • Organizes conferences, road shows, earnings conference calls, and investor meetings
  • Creates presentations, press releases, and other communication materials for earnings releases, industry events, and presentations to analysts, brokers, and investors
  • Monitors analyst reports and summarizes them for senior management
  • Monitors operational changes through ongoing contacts with company management, and develops investor relations messages based on these changes
  • Oversees the production of all annual reports, BMV and CNBV filings, and proxy statements
  • Manages the investor relations portion of the company web site
  • Oversees the production of all Board presentations and other board related materials.
  • Ensures that the Company's message and image are presented to a variety of financial community audiences in a professional, concise and consistent manner.
  • Assists in preparation for Annual Meetings of Shareholders
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with stock exchange representatives
  • Represents the views of the investor community to the management team in the development of corporate strategy
  • Provides feedback to the management team regarding the impact of stock repurchase programs or dividend changes on the investment community
  • Develops and monitors performance metrics for the investor relations function

Qualifications and requirements

  • 10+ years of accounting/finance experience, or 5+ years of experience in managing an investor relations department. 100% Bilingual English and Spanish
  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Superior relationshipbuilding skills in the investment community and the ability to collaborate with the executive team and proven ability to build strong relationships crossfunctionally. Must be willing to travel 50% of the time.
