JOB DESCRIPTION:


Position Summary:

This position primary focus is to provide immediate support to assembly line when supplier defects are reported.

Must coordinate immediate containment actions in order to minimize and eliminate any impact to the assembly line caused by supplier defects.

Must maintain daily communication with SQA team and All other parties involved in regard to containment status. Has contact with suppliers to initiate the communication of the problem.


Essential Functions:


  • Shop Floor Focus
  • Receive and validate supplier rejections of assigned areas at plant and Receiving inspection. Provide immediate response to internal team when a Q3 Supplier rejection is issued.
  • Initiate immediate Containment Activities and communicate status and clean point to all parties involved.
  • Ownership of Q2 Process (Creation, Update, RMA, Attachments)
  • Notify Supplier of Quality Issue.
  • Provide updated status of sorts in process as required to all parties involved.
  • Deliver certified material to assembly line with no delays.
  • Coordinate the rework and sorting operations as necessary.
  • Coordinate measurement of Additional samples as required.
  • Create Prism Portal 8Ds and follow up on D0-Only as needed.
  • Coordinate Sample run in production and communicate findings to all parties involved.
  • Evaluate over time needs and additional support for weekends and as required for containment and red cage activities. Send report for approval.
  • Follow up on Delivery (916) Process completion or Cancellation if applicable (YRPO)
  • Notify tracking numbers to suppliers and follow up until delivery at destination. Communicate to all parties involved (Supplier/ Bendix Team)
  • Run and update management system reports at the defined frequency.
  • Knows and communicates the need for product safety.
  • The employee has the authority to stop the production line, when he/she notices that the product has a quality problem or defect.
  • Support PSA Activities and procedures with team members
  • Perform all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.

Knowledge:


  • Intermediate Knowledge on Computer Microsoft office. (PPT, Excel, Word)
  • Basic knowledge GD&T (Geometric dimensioning & tolerance)
  • Reading blueprint Knowledge.

Experience:


  • Measurement equipment (key equipment) Caliper, micrometer
  • Quality, Materials and/or Engineering Background (preferred)
