Job Description:


The Logistics Specialist is mainly responsible for controlling information flow from the customers to all involved internal departments as well as the suppliers.

Key tasks are maximizing customer on time deliveries, maintaining acceptable inventory levels and reducing costs. The Logistics Specialist also supports and leads improvement projects within the value stream. This position interacts regularly with employees, management, senior management, customers and suppliers.

The level of quality and accuracy displayed in the performance of this job will have an impact on the daily operations of the department and, ultimately, customer satisfaction.


Source

  • Release material against blanket purchase orders (Domestic and International Suppliers) to support production schedule as well as passthru business. Communicate schedule updates with suppliers on a regular basis.
  • Responsible for the management of inventory levels, schedules and availability of selected item, either manufactured or purchased, to meet production levels.
  • Manage part shortage report on daily basis and report as necessary in production meeting.

Make

  • Provide a master schedule to production by line and by product.
  • Ensure the master schedule is loaded into SAP properly, accurately and timely fashion, running the MPS so that supplier schedules can be distributed.
  • Responsible for maintaining finished goods inventory levels at target and inventory accuracy.

Deliver:


  • Develop partnership with customer.
  • Maintain all customer systems (Covisint, DDL, Smart, Supply Power)
  • Responsible for the relationship with the customer material planner and prompt responses to all customer requests.

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree - Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Industrial Engineering, Economics


Language:


  • English
  • Advanced level
  • German
  • Desired (Optional)
Experience in a similar role >2 years


Technical Skills:


  • ERP (SAP).
  • Advanced (Desired)
