Senior IT Engineer

You will support the Product Test Engineering (PTE) environment, ensuring maximum uptime for critical systems used in semiconductor development.
Collaborating with engineering teams, you will develop solutions to enhance engineering processes.
Linux system administration is required, with Windows administration experience as a plus.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform systemlevel debugging and diagnosis of network, configuration, and software installation issues.
Identify root causes and develop longterm solutions for systemic problems.
Maintain Linux and Windows systems using configuration management tools.
Manage virtual machines used for test program development by engineers.
Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, with Windows experience preferred.
Proficient in scripting/programming and troubleshooting basic code and error messages.
PXE imaging of tester workstations using provided image templates.
Familiarity with distributed storage systems (NFS, AFS, CIFS) and LDAP.
Experience supporting test equipment and vendor software is a plus.
Knowledge/experience with licensing is desirable.
Familiarity with automation tools/techniques is advantageous.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex softwarerelated problems using established procedures.
Perform computer hardware and software installations and upgrades according to standard procedures.
