    The main responsibilities are to:

    • Collaborate with Plant Manager, Plant leaders and Americas Leadership Team to explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations and lead the development of complex analysis.
    • Provide proactive / unsolicited consultation, interpretation, and education of complex financial and operational matters to various departmental leaders used to drive business decisions.
    • Drive improvements in plant material usage and scrap rates.
    • Work with Supply Chain to optimize material costs and inventory levels.
    • Manage direct and indirect labor reporting and assist in driving efficiencies.
    • Assist with management, reporting, and analysis of overhead accounts.
    • Ensure compliance to internal controls and SOX requirements, including training plant personnel and supporting internal audits. Additionally, ensures compliance meeting all ethical standards for vendor and supplier partnerships.
    • Develop, monitor, and oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial, administrative, and internal controls necessary to safeguard all assets and assure integrity in the financial reporting of our maquiladora operation.
    • Must comply with local tax and accounting laws and serve as the subject matter finance expert in Country.
    • Analyze monthly results and work with plant management and personnel to drive improvements..
    • Prepare quarterly forecasts and the annual plan for both facilities and support the monthly Sales & Operations Planning process.
    • Maintain standard costing system in coordination with Cost Accounting Manager.
    • Maintain inventory accuracy including physical inventories and cycle counting program.
    • Own capital expense process for the company in Mexico, including tracking/forecasting, project justification and approval process, and resulting benefit tracking.
    • Drive key cost-out and productivity projects as needed.
    • Manage month-end closing and prepare monthly financial statements and other operational reports for site.
    • Analyze variances and communicates explanations to management with recommended actions.
    • Shares best practices across regional and global finance team, e.g., process improvements, financial modeling, and procedures changes.
    • Provides proactive / unsolicited consultation, interpretation, and education of complex financial and operational matters to various departmental leaders used to drive business decisions.
    +10 years of experience within a manufacturing (maquiladora) environment|Proven knowledge of accounting, tax, costing and financial reports

    The ideal candidate will have +15 years of proven experience within a manufacturing company, specifically in a maquiladora environment. Knowledge of a global ERP, preferably SAP. Must have knowledge of local and federal laws and taxes, as well as have a strong contact network for these matters. Demonstrated business acumen, the ability to read and analyze financial reports, as well as strong communication. Advanced English is required.
