Responsibilities:

The Opportunity

Product Developer Associate Manager is responsible for manage and execute innovation and sugar reduction projects for the category in LAB.

This person manages deliverables of multi-functional R&D teams, and interacts with business multi-functional teams aiming to develop & implement key projects for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) & PepsiCo Strategic Plan (PSP).

Your Impact
As an
Product Developer Assoc.

Manager your scope would consist of:

To deliver safe, stable, regulationcompliant and correctly targeted products and processes.
Deliver executional AOP product innovation in line with marketing strategy and consumer preference from bench top development to scale up trials working together with Field Ready.
Keep in strict compliance with stage gate, and myInnovation processes, and aligning adequate priority assignments to each initiative.
Product/Project documentation formulae & specs, ingredients specification, label information, nutritional facts & data to support claims.
Close interaction with ingredient suppliers (raw material, new technologies, etc.), providing accurate & brief proposals, reviewing and confirming due specifications and establishing a Quality Vendor agreement (COA/COC).
Monitor product development process within established schedule and contribute to risk analysis and identification.
Participate and account for all protocols used in scaleup of new products and provide support in any new analytical or micro methods linked to product requirements.
Search for, evaluate and share information with Support Center NY and other PepsiCo R&D centers on formulae, new raw materials and processes to ensure product innovation in the region.
Responsible for validating the labeling information for local product.
Close collaboration with Analytical and Microbiology groups to develop raw material specs and processes.

Qualifications:

Who Are We Looking For?

Education

Food Science / Food Technology / Food Chemist / or Chemist Bachelor's degree.

Experience

7 to 10 years of experience on R&D CSD platform; Juice and Fruit Products development / Manufacturing experience desirable.
Sensory Analysis knowledge and experience a plus.
Basic knowledge of Food Safety, GMPs and Quality Systems.
Leadership, communication and project management skills adaptable with initiative.
Proven ability to align and communicate across functional levels
Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
Conversational/ technical fluency in English.
Ability to influence diverse team members with challenging, technical and timebound objectives.
Strong alignment skills at several organizational levels.
Excellent oral and written language skills (Spanish & English).
Intellectual Curiosity.
Understanding and functional competence with CSD platform products.
Ability to organize and analyze technical information (specs, documentation, etc.)
Ability to be effective inside laboratory and demonstrate supervision skills.
Proven project management skills.
