  • Position description
The Manufacturing Engineer directs and promotes the tasks in the operational area.

He ensures the proper functioning of equipment, machinery, conveyors and peripheral equipment to production machines (molding or assembly) in order to ensure maximum equipment uptime.

The Engineer addresses and solves problems and complex tasks by interacting with Supervisors, Leaders, Production Operators and other team members through the use of Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing tools, or Manufacturing Engineering.

Among the metrics of interest to the engineer are the production boards (indicators), the monitoring of continuous improvement tasks, safety, quality, cost, process flow, and on-time delivery.

  • Prepares and presents process improvements/standards.
  • Helps establish and implement cost reduction efforts.
  • Work with Design and Development team.
  • Identifies and solves problems in production processes.
  • Monitor and improve productivity with the use of Lean tools.
  • Provides process stability through troubleshooting.
  • Work operations to implement new products and processes.

  • Optimization of manufacturing processes.
  • Systematic improvement of the process ability & capability.
  • Innovation of manufacturing methods and tools.
  • Calculation of the productive capacity and bottlenecks of the process.
  • Calculation of process capability (Cpk).
  • Assurance of BOMs and routings in SAP according to the current manufacturing process.

  • Control and improvement of the ability of manufacturing processes.
  • Reduction of cycle times in bottlenecks.
  • Reduction of manufacturing costs.
  • Review and establishment of production standards.
  • Required skills
  • English 80%.
  • Problem solving methodology.
  • Experience in ISO 9001, 14000, OSHA 18000, IATF 16949 Standards.
  • General knowledge of injection and machining processes.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and management of emotional intelligence.
  • Position profile

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanics, or similar.

Experience: 3 years as Manufacturing Engineer.

Personal behavior:
Decision making based on data, creativity to solve problems, with a sense of urgency.
