    This Role

    The Collections Supervisor streamlines and improves the efficiency of the company's collections process, ensuring the recovery of outstanding accounts, maintaining a healthy portfolio, and focusing on preventive management.

    Responsibilities

    1. Manage Early Delinquency Accounts: Oversee 1-30 day past due accounts by utilizing digital communication channels such as the PayJoy app and SMS to prevent further delinquency and efficiently recover outstanding amounts.
    2. Coordinate with External Collection Agencies: Collaborate with external agencies handling accounts over 31 days past due by developing portfolio assignment strategies and maintaining regular communication.
    3. Measure and Analyze Agency Performance: Monitor and evaluate the performance of external collection agencies by tracking weekly recovery rates and cost-effectiveness.
    4. Monthly Performance Comparison: Measure and compare month-over-month recovery results using data analysis tools to identify trends and implement improvements.
    5. Report to Credit Bureau: Report client accounts to the credit bureau on a monthly basis by compiling and submitting accurate reports.
    6. Generate Analytical Reports: Create detailed analytical reports to evaluate collection strategy effectiveness.
    7. Conduct Recovery Experiments: Design and implement experiments aimed at improving recovery rates by developing hypotheses and analyzing results.
    8. Operational Support for Payment Processors: Assist with payment processor operations and resolve issues to ensure smooth transaction processing.

    Requirements

    1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
    2. Minimum 2-4 years of experience in collections management, team leadership, and customer services.
    3. Proficiency in collection management software and Google or MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    4. Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and reporting.
    5. Knowledge of credit reporting procedures and compliance standards.
    6. Strong analytical skills with experience in performance measurement.
    7. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
    8. Knowledge of how to give proper feedback and coaching.
    9. Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
    10. Ability to demonstrate empathy and communicate effectively.
