    The Finance Director, Global Operations is responsible for analyzing trends and metrics, and designing and executing project plans to convert analysis to action plans and solutions.

    The position will also be responsible for developing timely, accurate, and actionable data and analysis to help guide the business.

    General Responsibilities Directs cost and financial planning and analysis activities to identify risks and opportunities and contribute to the achievement of the organization's short and long-term financial goalsDevelop, implement and maintain an effective planning and analysis capability that will provide senior leadership with appropriate analytical tools to establish goals and measure performance of the Company's portfolio of businessesRoutinely communicate business unit and company consolidated financial and operational performance trends, historical and forecasted, using appropriate metricsSuggest trends, resulting implications, key actions, and strategic implicationsLead scenario modeling efforts for the development and growth of the portfolioParticipate as a key thought leader of the global finance team, influencing decision making, identifying finance priorities, managing directly and indirectly - finance staff in multiple locationsInfluence the accuracy and effectiveness of the corporate accounting consolidation and closing process and treasury operations through analytical review and trend analysisDevelop and execute processes to allow for routine analytical reviews of company financial and operational performance, leveraging business unit analytical resources and toolsSupport the strategic business planning processDirects, coaches, and develops a team of financial professionals to ensure financial planning and analysis projects are conducted credibly and that recommendations and reports are accurate and timelyExperience / Qualifications A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

    Ability to lead, coach, and develop team membersHolds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standardsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demandsStrong communication skills; oral, written and presentationStrong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve resultsStrong personal and professional ethical values and integrityProficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and / or external customersLead all operational finance activities related to the Vehicle business unit.

    This includes, but not limited to, factory performance, freight, import duties, purchasing metrics, network optimization & inventory analysis.
    Business unit size is $3B annual revenue and $2B annual incurred cost of goods. Partner with VP of Vehicle Operations to drive improved factory performance around their net cost of operations (labor, overheads, yield etc.)
    Establish and drive targets for factory performance, supply chain productivity, material cost productivity, and logistics rates.

    Ensure proper controllership guidelines around key assets :
    Inventory & Capital expenseLead the forecasting efforts for the global ops function with focus on factory productivity improvements, labor inflation, material deflationManage factory finance teams across multiple sites in North America, Europe, and AsiaPartner with Controllership / Accounting team on key technical issues surrounding warehousing, customs, end of life assets, inventory obsolescenceSmarter Together Collaborating at Sensata means working with some of the world's most talented people in an enriching environment that is constantly pushing towards the next best thing
