Activities contributing to the design and procurement of Electrical BOP systems. Includes activities linked to Design, coordination with global engineering team, supplier, site and client.

The role has autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Activities of coordinating with the client for document approvals
  • Activities of coordinating with the supplier for offer evaluation, document submission, comments resolution, reply preparation, validation of revisions done by the supplier
  • Activities of coordination with the site team, to collect inputs from site, which may include site visit.
  • Activities of facilitating coordination among global engineering team, supplier and client given the language barrier existing between local suppliers, client and global engineering team who work in English. Represent the technical team in client and supplier meetings
  • Ensure timely deliveries of Documents
  • Identify and take actions to remove roadblock by escalating issues
  • Knowledge about interfaces of electrical BOP packages with each other and with other functions
  • Ensuring correct interfaces in the projects.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Electrical Engineer with 1015 years of experience in EBOP Hydro Power Plant Design having a good knowledge of all the EBOP packages
  • EHV packages, Distribution packages, Ancillary packages, protection system and excitation system.
  • Knowledge of Conceptual, basic and detail design of various EBOP packages for Hydro Power Plant

  • Comfortable in leading a team and coordinating between various partners
  • Ability to foresee roadblocks and act early to avoid the roadblocks.
