    Manufacturing Automation & Test Engineer will be responsible for the development of creative new solutions and improvements to existing designs of manufacturing equipment and tools for medical devices produced by Baxter's Front Line Care business.

    You will be a highly versatile hands-on engineer able to design, construct, test, troubleshoot and document.

    What you'll be doing Automation Subject Matter Expert, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency with automation.

    Support the design, development, fabrication, deployment and troubleshooting of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and other automation solutions for use in the production of Medical Devices and sub-assemblies.

    Develop relationships with preferred automation suppliers and act as a liaison/interface with plant engineering to identify and develop complex solutions.

    Analyze operational process problems and implement appropriate corrective and preventative actions.
    Generate and communicate schedules and project plans.

    Participate in project planning and may direct portions of smaller projects or segments of large projects to include scheduling, monitoring costs, resources, workforce loading, etc.

    Researching and designing automation technology, stay up to date with new automation technologies and trends.
    Work with R&D product engineers to define requirements and with operations to determine manufacturing needs.
    Develop requirements, create design documentation, and perform code reviews, unit tests, software, and system validation.
    What you'll bring Education & Experience

    Bachelor's Degree in engineering or physics.10+ years of experience in an engineering role with experience in automation and manufacturing test.

    Experience with automation and scripting toolsExperience using instrumentation like oscilloscopes, DMM's, power supplies and signal generators.
    Good software/hardware architecture, design, and implementation skills.
    Demonstrate good planning, organizing, time management and team participation skills.
    Strong Object-Oriented development and design knowledge and experience.
    Project management, lean practices, six sigmaStrong customer relationship managementExperience working in ISO/FDA regulated environments and GMP'sTechnical Skills and Tools
    Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), HMI, other control systems such as Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)National Instruments LabVIEW & TestStand

    Programming:

    C#, Visual Basic, .NET, Visual Studio, TFS, Azure DevOps is a plusKnowledge of SQL database scripting and communication is desired.
