    Essential duties include the following:

    • Designs, develops, and maintains scalable and efficient data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into cloud-based data warehouses.
    • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop solutions to address business needs.
    • Optimizes and tunes data pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability.
    • Implements data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data integrity and reliability.
    • Builds data models and develop an Enterprise Data Model at a large scale.
    • Works closely with data analysts and data scientists to provide them with access to clean and reliable data for analysis and modeling.
    • Stays up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and cloud computing.

    Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
    • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
    • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.
    • Hands-on experience with cloud-based data warehouses such as Snowflake or Redshift.
    • Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools such as AWS Step functions, Airflow, or similar.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala is a plus.
    • Experience with SSIS, AWS Glue, DBT (Data Build Tool) and Fivetran / AWS Lambdas preferred.
    • Certification in cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure preferred.
    • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments preferred.
