Eaton's IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Engineering Supervisor.

What you'll do:

Primary Function:

"Responsible to lead the manufacturing and electrical test engineering team to assure the continuous production process support and follow up on continuous improvement projects to achieve a higher productivity and efficiency.

Provide leadership and direction to the engineering team to assure the succesfull implementation of projects and achievement of the goals of the department.

Essential Functions:

Manages and oversees the daily work of the manufacturing and electrical test engineering team
Follow up with engineering team on Balanced Scorecard metrics to support and achieve the goal
Identify cost out opportunities with the team
Integrate projects related to Industry 4.0
Colaborates with NPI team to assure a efficient transition with the support team
Coordinate engineers in the review, presentation and implementation of capital projects for process improvements
Assign resources in an efficient manner, including personnel, equipment and budget to achieve projects and metrics of the department
Supervises the implementation of standards linked to quality and customer requirements and makes sure all products are align to these requirements
Participates in upper management communication forums to present projects and metrics
Identifies development needs for the team and provides training and growth opportunities.
Ensures the ERP consistency related to capacity, routings and BOMs
Supervises safety remediation projects on equipment and works to mitigate any possible impact on the process

Qualifications:

Basic qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field

- +5 year's experience in a management positions with manufacturing environment (preferably electronics)

Strong knowledge in IPC-A610, IPC7711/21 and IATF 16949, and project management
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish, leadership skills, proactive, self driven, strong organization and analytical thinker.
Strong Knowledge: Six Sigma & Lean Manufacturing
Desirable Knowledge: SAP
