Summary (About this Position):
Product Engineer for Electrical Centers Group in Juarez, Mexico responsible for design, development and product change maintenance upon business award and through the life of the program, service until end-of-life of the product.
Your Role (i.e.
Key Job Responsibilities):
- Develop Electrical Center (EC) products and assemblies using requirements from the customer, Aptiv EC Bill of Design, Bill of Process, best practices, and design guidelines.
- Lead EC product development process including the ontime completion of internal design reviews
- Prepare Validation Plans, DFMEAs, and review material for DFMs
- Collaborate with Project Management to development and manage timing for all mechanical components and insure all deliverables are met on time
- Coordinate with other functional engineering areas including Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Testing Services to insure requirements are met for all mechanical components and assembly
- Initiate cost estimates, design requests, RFQs, and all other documentation used in the DEC design process ontime and free of errors
- Create excellent technical presentations and lead presentation at the customer
- Attend customer design reviews, support Design Validation with part and assembly procurement, and support any initial vehicle/bench builds
Your Required Background (i.e.
Must Haves):
- Bache of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics and Electromechanical.

Proficient English speaking, reading and writing:
- Knowledge of automotive electrical system products including electrical centers, harnesses assemblies, connection systems, terminal systems, etc.
- Working knowledge of materials, design principles and manufacturing methods for plated stamped metal components, molded plastic components, printed circuit boards, etc.
Ability to interpret the results of design analysis tools such as DFMEA, mechanical and thermal FEA, Moldflow, tolerance stacks, etc

- Excellent time management and work prioritization skills
- Assertive attitude
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Capable Microsoft Office user proficient in Excel
- Working knowledge of Siemens NX
Your Preferred Background (i.e. Nice to Haves):
- Product Design & Engineering experience with Electrical Center products
- Strong Siemens NX modelling & drafting experience
- Experience working in automotive on electrical/electronic/electromechanical products
