you will be accountable for all Infrastructure, Security, IT Operations and all End User Services and technologies that help IT manage and lead IT across all AZ globally.

full autonomy to steer strategic and day to day decisions across IT at the IT leadership and CIO level through to the technician level.

ABOUT THE ENTERPRISE TECHNOLOGY SERVICES TEAM

The Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) team is accountable for all Infrastructure, Security, IT Operations and all End User Services and technologies.

This group will ensure that our IT Services are seamless and secure, and that technology is delivered in an efficient, effective, and agile way, with a strong focus on experience.

THIS IS WHAT YOU'LL DO

Provide team and people leadership for the Devices Solutions Engineering team enabling strong and cohesive delivery across the team and driving personal growth and development for all team members.
Lead teams to complete complex technology projects and initiatives.
Will own the technology standards and roadmap for a specified set of technology capabilities.
Will help define and drive best practice across the Solutions Engineering team.
Works with other AZ teams or preferred thirdparty suppliers to provide strategic and innovative technology solutions aligned with AstraZeneca business needs.
Lead solutions and other technical reviews.
Provides technical input to business cases, Request for Proposals, supplier selection and evaluation of proposals.
Leads risk management for risks/issues identified in third party supplier impact assessments.
Ensures infrastructure and solution lifecycle maintenance needs are identified and managed.
Maintains awareness and knowledge of industry trends and proactively identifies and drive identification of opportunities to be leveraged in Information Technology solutions.
Works with Domain Architecture to define business IT solutions, ensuring their alignment with business strategies and priorities, as well as expected target benefits.
Leads effort to evaluate, plan, design, and implement enterprise IT solutions and oversees the design and documentation of IT solutions components.
Leads, Coaches, and Mentors their Solutions Engineering team(s).
Leads the maintenance of solutions, incident/problem identification, and resolution using ITIL methods and processes.
Leads efforts to ensure that modified solutions interact appropriately, areas of impact are considered and addressed and meet performance requirements.
Drives the planning of activities associated with implementation, release, maintenance and support of IT solutions.

YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE

Education, Qualifications, and Experience

Essential

Degree level education in computer science or similar experience
Significant experience in an Information Services/Information Technology environment with good business acumen
Proven experience of leading and growing technical IT teams.
Proven experience of developing and managing relationships with 3rd party suppliers
Experience with multiple different types of solutions delivery (SaaS, on premise, etc.)
People leadership

Desirable

Well versed in ITIL V3.0 practices and process

Skills and Capabilities

Essential

Evidence of leading, shaping and designing innovative solutions and driving any changes
Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language
Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language
Expertise in Agile Software Development techniques and Methodologies
Expert in solutions design patterns and processes
Significant experience in leading global teams related to functional area, and demonstrate technical SME and proficiency to technically lead teams
Excellent industry awareness of technology trends

Good commercial awareness and understanding of the external market
Demonstrate initiative, strong customer orientation, and crosscultural working
