Summary:

Lead speed to market of all new developments through creation of preliminary specifications, technical and regulatory compliance as well as cost calculation.
Integrate communication between different departments and functions regarding new specs and material requirements as well as regulation.
Protect legal product compliance of Griffith Foods Mexico for national commercialization and export.
Knowledge and interpretation of national and international standards.
Overlook regulatory compliance on packaging artworks developed.
Functions as a regulatory advisor on Health & Nutrition compliance, reporting and labeling matters.
Supervise the proper capture and maintenance of information in Griffith Applications and ERP systems.
Lead according to business rules and use cases the inclusion of new raw materials and suppliers.
Follow up internal maintenance, order, and cleanliness in R&D laboratory.
Coordinate, train and support continuous improvement and audit R&D procedures.
Coordinate Griffith Performance Excellence (GPE) R&D projects.
Support business continuity via raw material emergency.
Manage formula and confidential information.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Nutrition:

Identify opportunities to develop concepts and products focused on nutrition, providing expertise on labeling claims, giving nutrition trainings with internal and external support.
Build and maintain network in health and nutrition with academia, government, suppliers of ingredients, etc.
Promote collaboration for scientific research to align our products according to health and nutrition criteria.

Regulatory:

Assure products compliance according with government standards.
Provide and validate regulatory information for packaging or other needs.
Act as a primary contact for disclosing information for clients, government, other GF units on formulations.
Support and generate regulatory documents requested for internal and external customers.
Provide guidance to customer on labeling regulations guidelines and national or international government food standards.

Griffith ́s systems:

Guarantee the correct use and maintenance of Griffith systems (e.g.

Griffith Apps) for:
formulas, raw materials, descriptors, categories, etc

Assure the uploading of finish goods and new materials (packaging & raw materials) on time and manner in our ERP system.
Be a member of the CRM and ERP key user's teams, help to detect issues and support in case of business continuity, as well as looking and implementing new features.
Participate as a key user on Griffith Apps, supporting and validating functionality of each system update.

Information Management:

Lead speed to market initiatives.
Responsible in the elaboration, communication, and maintenance of formula disclosures documents elaborated to internal & external customers.
Be a guardian, maintain and enhance the security of all information regarding product formulas and other technical information.
Coordinate the creation of preliminary specifications and costs for all new developments to speed to market.
Supervise costing of new developments.
Leverage the accountability of R&D procedures through followup, training, audits and document updates.
Identify and deploy continuous improvement in R&D procedures.

Materials:

Ensure all new raw materials needed for the new developments.
Coordinate new raw material documents and the correct capture on Griffith Apps.
Support business continuity via raw material emergency through the coordination with all areas to ensure the correct follow up.
Coordinate and valid new alternatives suppliers for our current raw materials.

R&D Laboratory:

Ensure the right operation of the R&D laboratory by maintaining the order and cleanliness of the facilities (laboratory and pilot plant equipment), and availability of raw materials.
