Position Summary
The Pricing Analyst will respond to pricing requests for cross border, US domestic and MX domestic operations logistics from services offices, as well as the commercial team and operational teams.
- Manage, complete, and respond to daily pricing requests in accordance with assigned due dates or service level agreements for new and existing customers in a specific mode, product, or trade lane.
- Learn and understand the various pricing tools available to the team.
- Create professional written responses to RFI's, RFQ's and proposals, addressing client's objectives.
- Manage RFQ projects, coordinating efforts across multiple parties, ensuring that timelines are met, and consolidating pricing for submission to clients.
- Ensure compliance with operational policies prior to pricing business (examples include validating the commodity is not in violation of our restricted/prohibited commodities policy, identifying embargoed countries, vetting out known shippers)
- Provide notes on every pricing activity logging how the pricing was compiled to effectively communicate that information to relevant operations staff upon award.
- Collaborate with supervisor and peers to identify best practices to provide continuous improvement in the quality of pricing activities and trends that lead to more favorable win ratios
Qualifications:
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- Entrepreneurial and competitive spirit, passion, selfmotivation
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Proven ability to create and coordinate comprehensive proposals.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically.
- Detail oriented and inquisitive
- Excellent knowledge of Excel is a must.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, engineering, or related field plus 1-2 year of previous experience of the logistics industry, solution design, and supply chain
