    Primary Function of Position:

    Ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, visitors and the premises. Safeguard and protect the employees and assets of the company.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points.
    • Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
    • Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informs violations to the security policies and procedures.
    • Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, incidents, and surveillance activities.
    • Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
    • Conducts internal and external surveillance rounds in the facilities with the objective of detecting and reporting suspicious behavior, unsafe acts, incidents, risks and emergencies.
    • Meets the requirements and/or support that the company needs.
    • Follows procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control and incident investigations.
    • Contribute to team effort by achieving related results as needed.
    • Keeps fences and doors closed at all time to prevent intrusions and/or incidents.
    • Conducts random security inspections to persons and/or vehicles that enter and exit the installations.
    • Escort personnel inside and/or outside the facilities.
    • Controls the entry and exit of assets.
    • Control and management of keys and locks.
    • It ensures that all employees and visitors have proper credentials for accessing buildings (ID badges and passes).
    • Assist employees and visitors with any concerns they might have.
    • Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed.
    • Verifies security conditions in buildings by inspecting offices, rooms, doors and windows, adequate lighting conditions, covering areas to prevent and detect theft, fire, misuse of equipment, unauthorized access, among others.
    • Control of traffic by directing drivers.
    • Remains in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
    • Protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues.
    • Provides support in case of emergency situations (emergency response).
    • Complies with the specific activities of the position and/or security policies, procedures, work instructions and forms.
    • Reports to the immediate superior the activation of alarms of the electric fence, security sensors and/or fire system.
    • Reports to the immediate superior any damage detected on walls, cyclonic mesh, bars, gates, doors, CCTV cameras, electric fence, security sensors, fire system, lampposts and lighting system during surveillance rounds to repair it immediately.
    • Reports to the immediate superior any damage and/or malfunction of equipment, programs, systems and/or work tools.
    • Maintains control of the badges issue to contractors, new entry, suppliers and visitors.
    • Register all the people who arrive at the facility (contractors, suppliers, visitors, new entry).
    • Monitors the building's perimeter video surveillance system in order to detect suspicious behavior, unsafe acts, intrusions and/or criminal activity.
    • Properly use of the security equipment assigned (portable radio, cellphone, telephone extension, and/or electronic devices).
    • Adhere to all operating standards of the company.
    • Report any anomaly and/or incident to the immediate superior and/or patrimonial security representative.
    • Act according to all policies, procedures and regulations established by the company.
    • Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly.
