Job Summary


The Portfolio Associate I will be part of a cross-functional team comprised of internal team members whose objective is to support the management of client's renewable energy assets and fulfillment of contractual compliance obligations associated with those assets.

Support the optimization of all portfolios and execute the completion of tasks that have been assigned to you.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Learn the commercial, contractual, regulatory, and reporting obligations of an operating portfolio of renewable energy assets (solar, wind, BESS), and execute tasks to ensure portfolio compliance with all project agreements
  • Assist Portfolio Manager and other team members in tracking and fulfilling ongoing tasks and deliverables; use Lens platform to drive workflow
  • Support the development and preparation of performance and financial reports for the operating projects.
  • Coordinate with the Technical Asset Management team and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) personnel on the performance and operations of the projects
  • Track project performance, weather, and operational data for operating projects through event tickets and O & M work orders. Understand and make use of the data in the context of supporting the optimization of projects and portfolios
  • Promptly communicate with clients and other important stakeholders in the event of potential emergency situations arising from weather/environmental conditions, safety concerns, cyber security issues, or any other relevant circumstances. _Please be aware that this position may require working to support during evenings, weekends, or holidays to ensure timely response to potential emergencies._
  • Manage document administration and data rooms for projectspecific documents
  • Coordinate, compile, and submit FERC, EIA, and other regulatory compliance obligations with the support of internal team members and 3rd parties.
  • Coordinate with the Financial Asset Management team and assist in billing and revenue tracking, invoice tracking, SREC administration, settlements, and other financial deliverables.
  • Effectively manage relationships with key project stakeholders, including project owner & investors, power offtakers, O&M providers, internal crossfunctional team members, and multiple external 3rd
  • Work in Lens to track operations, contract administration, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting.
  • Organize meeting agendas, both internal and with clients; lead meetings with O & M providers, other counterparties or stakeholders, and internal crossfunctional teams as needed.
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience

  • At least 1+ years working with operating renewable energy assets: solar, wind, or BESS
  • Familiarity with solar PV, wind, or BESS equipment and system design
  • Familiarity with C & I and utilityscale renewable energy projects. Familiarity with Community Solar management
  • Business writing experience
  • Experience in a service provider environment
  • Familiarity with commercial renewable energy contracts
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting and presentation
  • Familiarity with asset management software systems & thirdparty monitoring platforms
  • Experience working for a U.S based company is preferred.

Required Qualification & Education

  • 1+ years of renewable energy industry experience in asset management or operations. Or equivalent educational experience in renewable energy
  • BS in Business Administration, Energy Studies, Environmental Studies, Engineering, or a related field
  • Familiarity with gridtied photovoltaic, wind, or BESS system design, operation, and management

Required Skills & Competencies

Renewable Energy Industry knowledge in the following areas:

  • Project performance data analysis, cost benefit analyses, project reporting and presentation
