Position Overview:

This position requires strong people management skills and the ability to work with his/her peers in California to build a strong team culture that facilitates collaboration between teams in different locations.

Required Qualifications

24+ years as software development manager for medical or life science capital equipment manufacturer, leading 10+ team members.
Experience collaborating with teams in different geographical locations and different cultural backgrounds
5+ years handson development experience on embedded software or mobile development

Desired Qualifications

Must be selfmanaged, highly motivated, detailoriented and able to deliver work on time and complete to specification.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical Degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent communication skills, with fluent English and Spanish.
Experience in two or more of the following: Python programming, Java programming, C# programming, C++/C programming.
Must be flexible, can work under tight deadlines, and support offhours deployment and maintenance as needed.
Able to travel to Outset headquarters in San Jose, California, as needed
