- Develop product ideas based on customer interests.
- Create rough product designs using sketches and computer software.
- Conduct theoretical testing on design models.
- New products reverse Engineering.
- Create full product designs and specifications using computer software modeling techniques.
- Select product materials and design the product manufacturing process.
- Oversee assembly and ensure that products conform to market specifications and safety regulations.
- Testing product prototypes to adjust design flaws.
- Evaluating the product prototype to identify potential safety hazards.
- Analyze feasibility, cost, and return on investment for product ideas.
- Receive and analyze engineering changes (ECOs).
- Designs repair processes and lay-outs, develops work instructions, BOMs, testing, and packaging for integration to production.
- Interfaces with others on a regular basis to provide technical support to other departments.
- Ensures timely, tactful, and respectful communication with all internal and external customers.
- Bachelor ́s Degree in Electronics Engineering 8 years of proven experience as a Product Engineer
- Bilingual English-Spanish
- Visa laser available
- Experience with AutoCAD, LabView, SolidWorks
- Lean Six Sigma experience.
- A+ Software/Hardware preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of ESD, throughhole, SMT, BGA, color coding, rework, and soldering.
- Must be able to use tools and work aids such as but not limited to oscilloscopes, DMM, soldering and desoldering equipment and other industry standard test equipment.
